The European ethics and biometrics project, RISE is hosting a Conference on 'Ethics and Governance of Biometrics and Identification Technologies' in Brussels from 8-10 December 2010. The Final HIDE project meeting will also take place during the Conference.

RISE has published a new report on the High Level Workshop on Ethical and Policy Implications of Global Mobility and Security which was held in Brussels on 25th‐26th March 2010. The report presents and summarises speaker and participant workshop discussions and contributions.

RISE is pleased to announce that a book has been published by Springer on the “Ethics and Policy of Biometrics” which consists of papers presented during the Third International Conference on Ethics and Policy of Biometrics and International Data Sharing, held in Hong Kong on the 4&5 January 2010 in the scope of the RISE project.
